Prepare your portfolio to apply to college!

The program includes:
Unlimited drawing, painting, and sculpture classes within each students unique session schedules
– Bi-weekly evaluations of work with the Director
– Comprehensive college counseling to help you decide which schools are right for you
– Preparation of preliminary portfolio for individual show and interview with colleges at our Long Island Portfolio Day
– Selection of final portfolio for submission -editing college essay, artist essay, and artwork descriptions, a professionally photographed portfolio
– So much more!

SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION
SATURDAY MARCH 25th
10:00am  to  1:00pm

AWARDS ranging from $100 to $1000
to be applied to HFA tuition

The competition is open to 7th through 11th grade students not currently or previously enrolled at HFA.  We provide paper and drawing material.  Draw from the nude model or still life.  Instructors give students complete guidance the first half of the session with no formal instruction during the second half.  There is an informal group critique at the end of class.
Each participating student must bring a minimum of three pieces of their artwork (drawing, painting, sculpture, photography) to be evaluated by our Director at a later meeting.
