In the studio
A look at the disciplines students work in across our programs — and the kind of work that comes out of them.
The Studio
A working professional studio — walls of student paintings, shelves of plaster casts, easels facing a live model. Students train in the same environment a working artist does.

Portraiture · Figure
From long-pose portrait sittings to charcoal figure studies and expressive oil painting — students build the observation and craft to render the head, hands, and full figure with intention.

Still Life
The traditional foundation of studio training. Students study light, form, edge, and color through carefully arranged setups in oil, charcoal, and mixed media.

Installation
Wire, paper, thread, and cloth. Advanced students step off the page and build installations that occupy the wall — and the floor.

Sculpture · Installation
Modeled heads, cast forms, and mixed-media sculpture developed alongside our drawing and painting curriculum.
